White paper on predictive maintenance

The “Predictive Maintenance” expert group (GE MPREV) of the “Aeronautics and Space Standardization Commission – Integrated Logistics Support and Obsolescence Management” (CN AE-SLIO) has adapted an article originally published by its leader, G. DEBACHE, in Les Vieilles Racines magazine. The purpose of this article/white paper is to raise issues and serve as a basis for the drafting of a guide (RX.Aéro 000 73) on predictive maintenance.

More about GE MPREV :

The predictive maintenance of a product integrated into a system requires clarification in order to be adopted on a large scale in civil and military aeronautics and space programs. The GE's work targets extended enterprise stakeholders, such as suppliers, designers, contractors, project owners and managers, users, operators, and authorities, by proposing recommendations for implementing predictive maintenance throughout the life cycle of a program and its products/services, taking into account the operational concept and commercial, legal, and geopolitical contexts, as well as aspects of governance, management, processes, stakeholders, products, and functions.
